Goodreads is the world’s largest site for readers and book recommendations.  The Library’s Catalog is also linked to Goodreads!  After you log in to the Library Catalog, Goodreads will show you suggestions based on your searches.


BookLetters brings you reviews and information about current and upcoming titles for every reading taste. You can sign up for Bookletters eNewsletters covering many genres and interests. These are delivered directly to your e-mail, with links provided to our catalog.

The Book Report Network

The Book Report Network is a group of seven Internet sites (including teenreads.com) featuring original content about books, reviews, and author interviews.


Tapastic lets you enjoy awesome visual stories and web comics, and publish your own. They’re all about bite-sized, snackable content for your eyes to munch on; building an open platform and community for indie web comic artists and visual storytellers to connect with fans.

From the Mid-Continent Public Library in Independence, MO, ‘Based on the Book’ is a compilation of over 1,250 books, novels, short stories, and plays that have been made into motion pictures.

Teen Life

A “go to” source for parents, educators, and teenagers nationwide who are seeking programs and services for college-bound students in grades 7-12…including summer programs, community service opportunities, academic experiences, and gap year programs – regionally, nationally, and internationally.
