Fun Fact

Fall colors are best when late summer is dry and autumn has bright sunny days and cool nights below 40 degrees F.

Karl, Retired Pastor

The West Des Moines Library has empowered retirement days for me in two ways. One, I am able to read extensively in the newspaper and magazine sections. Two, I am able to borrow books to read rather than to purchase and keep in my now limited home library. An added feature is borrowing audiobooks to savor while I drive to visit family in other states.

Adventure Passes

Iowa Libraries provide free passes to area attractions for a day of family fun!  Passes allow entrance for two (2) adults and two (2) children.  Additional tickets can be purchased at the venue.

For WDM Library:  WDM residents, 18 years of age and older, with a valid library card that is non-expired and in good standing may reserve passes by using TixKeeper (see link below).

Cardholder must present a valid photo ID and printed pass (email on phone not accepted) before admission into the venue is allowed.

One pass per venue may be reserved once every 365 days.

Passes cannot be used for any other special member events (e.g. Zoo Brew or Night Eyes)

Please cancel your reservation if you cannot use the pass at the reserved time. To cancel a reservation, call the Reference Desk at 515-222-3403.

Check open dates of any venue before you reserve your pass.

Note:  As of the 2020 season, Living History Farms is no longer participating in the Adventure Pass program.
