Would you like to read some of the great classics with others? Have you always wondered why some authors’ works seem to endure? Join us for Legacies, a program where we focus on a different timeless writer each month. Each discussion will begin with a short presentation about the author that will give you a sense of their life and the context of their work. Then we will have a group discussion on what we've read, focusing on shorter novels and short stories.
This month, we will explore the work of Leo Tolstoy, focusing on his short story “The Death of Ivan Ilych.” Copies of the story are available at the second floor Adult Services desk. It can also be viewed here.
We meet on the Third Wednesday of each month in the Millie Knee Classroom (second floor). No registration is required.
