Introduction to Bees and Beekeeping

Join us for an Introduction to Beekeeping. Julia from Des Moines Backyard Beekeepers will share not only why honey bees are incredibly fascinating, but also the many reasons to become a beekeeper. Beekeeping can become an interesting and rewarding hobby, and for some people it can even become a business. In this short course, attendees will learn all about managed honey bees and what they need for year-round success – equipment, food, shelter, and more. Plenty of take-home resources will be available.
