New in 2026: Three Adult Discussion Groups to Explore

We’re thrilled to welcome three new adult discussion groups to the library in 2026! Inner Child, Legacies, and Otherworlds are brand-new groups that discuss a wide variety of reading and conversation topics. Whether you’re craving a little nostalgia, looking to explore a timeless classic read, or ready for a journey into the fantastical, there’s something for everyone!

Inner Child:

Inner Child is a discussion group for grown-ups who refuse to grow up! We’ll explore the fantastical and mysterious magic of children’s books, reflecting on the stories that shaped us and how we experience them now. Each month, we’ll dive into a different author, illustrator, or genre, from picture books to children’s fantasy.

  • Inner Child meets on the 1st Tuesday of every month at 6:30 PM.

Legacies:

Legacies is a discussion group where we focus on a different timeless writer each month. Each discussion will begin with a short presentation about the author that will give you a sense of their life and the context of their work. Then we will have a group discussion on what we've read, focusing on shorter novels and short stories.

  • Legacies meets on the 3rd Wednesday of every month at 6:30 PM.

Otherworlds:

Otherworlds is a fandom discussion group that explores all things Sci-Fi & Fantasy. Each month we dive into books, characters, and the world that inspire our imaginations. Whether you’re a die-hard fan or just curious, all are welcome to join the fun!

  • Otherworlds meets on the 1st Thursday of every month at 6:30 PM.
