Due to staffing changes, Notary service will not be available at the Library for the month of May, 2024.

West Des Moines City Hall offers free Notary services – please contact them ahead of time to arrange an appointment.

You can also search for Notaries in your area through the State’s Notary Search tool.

STEM Kit: Weight and Measurement

Weight and Measurement STEM kit is separated in two kits:

STEM 3-W includes materials for WEIGHT (White label) - The Precision School Balance will help students explore, develop, and extend their understanding of mathematical and scientific concepts including inequalities, mass, comparisons, the four operations, and order. 

STEM 3-Y includes materials for LENGTH AND MEASUREMENT (Yellow label) - This Liquid Measurement set is the perfect sized classroom set for learning measurement equivalents. Students practice customary capacities, liquid measurement and metric conversions with suggested activities included.
