And did you know that Iowa’s State Fair Food Contests are #1 in the nation?  Join us for a program with Kay Fenton Smith, the author of Baking Blue Ribbons: Stories and Recipes from the Iowa State Fair Food Competitions.  Ms. Smith will talk about this unique slice of Iowa and women’s history, along with winning recipes from 1854 to today and how she researched and wrote the book along with Carol McGarvey.  

Ms. Smith will have copies of this beautiful book for sale after the program.  All sales from the book benefit the Blue Ribbon Foundation and the Iowa State Fair Food Department.
