Mindfulness and Meditation for Seniors
A regular meditation practice can help you cultivate kindness and inner peace -- two things we desperately need in these stressful times. In these mid-week sessions, you will learn meditations to help de-stress from your week and prepare for a relaxing weekend. Connect with other members of your community and experience the power of meditating in a group. Each session will include some teaching on mindfulness themes (such as types of meditation, resilience, stress reduction, and so on) followed by 30 minutes of practice.
These sessions are facilitated by Meetu Sharma. Ms. Sharma is a 200+ -hour certified Yoga Teacher with a deep interest in the ancient practice of deep breathing called Pranayama. She lives a holistic lifestyle and has been practicing meditation for many years.
Registration is requested, please. This is a drop in class -- come to as many or as few sessions as you want. All levels of experience are welcome!
