Are you curious about how New Year is celebrated around the world? Join us for a fun, interactive presentation by Sue Hudson about Songkran, “New Year in Thailand.” Songkran is Thailand’s most famous festival. This “water splashing” festival marks the beginning of the traditional Thai New Year and is an important event on the Buddhist calendar.

This program is presented by Suthiphon “Sue” Hudson. She was born in Thailand and emigrated to the U.S. in 2010 and represents the Thai culture in our community as the President of the Iowa Thai Association.

This program is brought to the Library by CultureAll. Founded in 2005, the organization is a premier provider of authentic, interactive learning experiences that engage Iowans in cultural discovery that promotes equity and inclusion.
