If you like to read and talk about graphic novels, this club is for you. Join us for discussion and activities related to this month’s book, Shakti by SJ Sindu.

Ever been a victim of a scam? Do you know anyone who has? Would you like to learn about the latest scams in Iowa and ways to protect yourself and others?

Join us at the West Des Moines Public Library for English with Friends, a welcoming and informal conversation program.

This in-person group is open to aspiring authors of all experience levels. Each participant brings an approximately 1500-word excerpt of their work-in-progress to read aloud.

Spend some time with the Naturalist at Raccoon River Park's Biddle Shelter! We'll enjoy nature stories and a kid-friendly craft of activity. Bring a blanket and dress for the weather.

Participants will review embroidery basics such as supplies and techniques, then practice a variety of stitch types while creating their own embroidery project to take home. This workshop is open to crafters of all ability levels.

Join Nate for a fun family activity! We'll meet out in front of the library, and WDM police officer Chelsea Dexter will join us to talk about bicycle safety and show off their custom police bike. Bring (or ride) your bike to the program!

Help us kick off the summer reading fun by attending our "Unlazy River" program! Bring your own pool floatie or noodle and we'll "float" around the pond - on the sidewalk - completing obstacles along the way.
