Christ Apostolic Temple's Community Outreach programs include the Yeshua Reentry and Recovery Center which offers resources and services to reentry clients in the Greater Des Moines Iowa area for the purpose of alleviating the likelihood of repeat offenses. They provide assistance with housing, transportation, educational and vocational programming in efforts to help people transition successfully into society.

The City of West Des Moines Emergency Medical Services is proud to offer CPR courses from the American Heart Association (AHA). For CPR certification, you may either take BLS or Heartsaver CPR. The course you choose depends on the requirements for your certification, either from your employer or a licensing bureau. Please confirm your requirements prior to registering for a course. If a certification card is not required, you may also choose to learn CPR skills via a Family & Friends course.

Dogs of all shapes and sizes enjoy romping through the 10 acre fenced play area of the Raccoon River Park Dog Park. The park is open daily from 6:30 a.m. until dusk and features areas for both large and small dogs. Users are required to purchase a Dog Park Permit to utilize the facility. *All dogs residing in the City of West Des Moines are required by law to have a City Pet License in order to purchase a Raccoon River Dog Park Annual Permit.
